Fundraising with our Travel Gift Certificate Programs:
There are two basic certificate programs:
#1) * You can provide gift certificates to all
your attendees / supporters. Then when they book a trip
with us
we match that discount w/ a donation in that same amount toward your
organization. So, say someone utilizes the $50 or $100 off coupon for
their trip; we give them that $50 - $100 off the already discounted cost
of their vacation or cruise, and donate dollar for dollar that amount to
your organization. Either $50 or $100 per booking.
#2) Our other certificate is good for an
actual free trip or cruise; and the organization needs to sell raffle
tickets. Then the lucky winner gets the free cruise or vacation.
With the latter, we have an agreement that
the organization will provide us x amount of dollars, and keep the
remaining funds collected from the raffle as donations for their cause.
We work with various cruiselines,
tour operators, and so forth, to obtain a discount rate. A price that no
one could have gotten elsewhere. Hence, the amount you need to collect with
your raffle for the 'free trip giveaway', is less than what would normally
be paid, say if someone went to book it themselves.
In other words, in example; a cruise that
normally costs $500 would only cost $300. The value remains the same for
the winner. But, the organization doesn't need to collect the full price.
So, if you sold raffle tickets at $5 each, and 200 supporters
bought tickets; that would raise $1,000. Of that $1,000. you would need to
give our agency $300 and keep the $700 as profits / donations for your
cause!
